FAQs
Q. What is your style?
A. Future Wedding Photography specializes in what we call the
“Illustrative-style” of photography. The Illustrative-style blends
together the best of contemporary photojournalism and traditional
photography to create images that are extremely artistic, unique, and
natural. We take a story-telling approach to your day, capturing the
essence and details, laughter and tears, family and friends – the
qualities that make your wedding day priceless.
Q. Who photographs the wedding?
A. Stan Pannone and his assistant, Val Lamb are the primary photographers for
Future Wedding Photography. Because there are two photographers present on
your wedding day, it allows us to be two places at once and not miss a
moment. For example, the bride and groom will typically get ready at the
same time. By having two photographers, we can be both places at once,
giving you each an exciting glimpse into the breathless moments before you
say “I do.”
Q. What type of equipment do you use?
A. We work exclusively with the latest Canon EOS professional
digital camera equipment, including the Canon 5D and Canon 30D. We carry
with us between 3 and 4 cameras to every wedding, since different cameras
and lenses work best for different photographs. Our favorite lenses are
the “long lenses” (75-300mm) that allow us to photographs moments from a
distance, often without you even being aware of the camera. (Many of our
couples are stunned at the number of photographs that they never even
realized were being taken!) Another of our favorite lenses is the fisheye,
which allows us to create wide-angle photographs can showcase your church
or reception beautifully.
Q. How many photographs do you take?
A. Because we work exclusively in digital, we don’t limit the
number of images taken on your wedding day. This gives us the freedom to
take as many shots as needed to get just the right _expression – and we
often take over 1,000 photographs in a single day! We edit these images in
our studio, and you can expect to choose from between 250 and 400
photographs when selecting the images to tell the story of your wedding
day.
Q. Do you photograph in color or black & white?
A. Every photograph Future Wedding creates is available in color,
black and white, or sepia.
Q. What is the payment schedule?
A. A deposit of 20% of your total is due when the Wedding
Agreement is signed, and is required to secure your date. Of the remaining
portion, 50% is required within one week prior to the Wedding Day, and the
final balance is due upon receipt of your Wedding Album.
Q. How can I ensure that I get all the photographs that are important
to me?
A. We will speak with you in the weeks preceding your wedding day
to finalize the schedule, make sure we have enough time to create any
formal photographs you would like, and talk about some of the special
parts of the wedding day that are particularly important to you. We’ll
even help you to decide which, if any, formal photographs are important to
you.
Q. How soon after the wedding day can we see our photographs?
A. We will schedule an appointment about two to three weeks after
your ceremony to deliver your Wedding Photography CD. The CD contains all
photos of your special day. Your
friends and family can also easily purchase any
photographs they would like online and at their convenience.
Q. How can I reserve my wedding date?
A. Please contact the studio, and we can arrange a time to meet and
discuss the options for your wedding day. Once you have selected Future
Wedding Photography, simply call or email us so that we can block out your
date. A signed Wedding Agreement and deposit is required to officially
secure the photography for your wedding day.
